Material slots
Addressing the configurable parts of a product.
A product may have more than one configurable surface — a roller blind has its fabric, and may also have a pelmet or bottom rail finish. Each of these is a material slot.
Slot tokens
Every slot on a product has an opaque token with the slot_ prefix. The catalog
endpoints return each product's slots along with the material sets valid for them; when
you make a selection, you address the slot by its token.
Slot tokens are stable for the life of the product configuration, but opaque — don't construct them, and don't assume meaning in their contents. Read them from the product's slot listing and pass them back.
Selections
A complete selection maps each slot you want to override to a material (by Viewa public ID or your aliased SKU). Slots you leave out keep the product's default finish.
